There is so many paid software is present in the market, some gives one month free trial, some give us few options for free and if you want more options they you pay for that. So, it is clear what is free or what is paid. So many peoples thinks free software is open source software and open source software is open, they thinks opensource software and free software is same.
So, basically there is very big difference between open source software and free software. Many times you heard Android is open source software, what is meant by this. Opensource software means there source is open, the source code by which that software is developed and there modules is open for all developers. From that google earns, if google gives there all services in free of cost then just think how google can earn.

If you want to buy a software then you have so many options, like if we talk about photo shop then it is a paid software and a similar software called gimp. They do all most exect same thing, but they are free open source software. Like that if we talk about video editing then there is a software called adobe premiere pro they are paid software, there is a software called hitfilm is also present in the market and they are free. Its totally upon you which software you can use paid software of free software.
In open source software you get some benefits like in you software there is a bug, there is a problem and if you enhance there features then there is a developer team who work on that which basically means you did'nt want to depend on software wender. In open source software random developers are working and enhancing that software. So it is the best thing about opensource software.

In close source software no one can make change in that software. If we talk about free software then it means all services is given free by developer they did not charge any thing for there services. But free software is earns from ads. In many free software there is so many ads is placed.
